DOG POLICY

Dogs, other than assistance dogs, are not permitted inside York Minster Refectory. However, well-behaved dogs are welcome in our outside garden area.

Water can be provided; owners are expected to clean up any dog waste and to dispose of this appropriately.

Dog owners are asked to show respect for other diners’ sensitivities, in keeping their dogs quiet, on a lead and under control at all times.

We regret that we do not permit accept breeds covered by the Dangerous Dogs Act and expect owners to have the appropriate insurance in the event that their dog should cause injury to any person or property.

In the event that your dog should object to another diner’s dog, we would expect the most recently arrived dog to be removed from the premises.
